Department of BBA functioning under the flagship of the most eminent educational institution and academic Excellency of Ispat Autonomous college, here at Rourkela (Odisha) since 2009 onwards.  The department is offering 3 (three) years professional degree course to those students who wants to be future manager(s) in life through developing their hidden talents and get absorbed in different  prestigious organisation being a successful leader in long run. The merit of the department is Govt. approval & permanent affiliation for the BBA course. A student wants to pursue this three years, job oriented +3 (Degree) Professionals course can do it at most affordable and economical price. Again BBA is a holistic path that is inclined to build students into maneuvering leaders to prosper in the dynamic field of management practices when the department is well committed to it. The programme provides depth knowledge, exposures and understanding of allied fields of management being a catalyst in Accounting &finance, Human Resource(S) Management (HRM), Marketing & logistics, Production & Operation(s) management being an extension point of commerce. Assimilations of different business problems through their logical solution(S) and application of theory to sharpen the skill set of BBA students is always the foremost goal of the department.

With changing & emerging economic trends there was also a high demand for creating not only future managers but also up to an extent ignite and blend the conscience of these dynamic managers to start thinking to become an entrepreneur when the courseBBA meticulously puts its foundation stone to it.

Since the opening of the department with tire less effort of the Management and authorities the department has excelling towards its prominence when currently running with 32 (Honours) seats and CBCS Syllabus system. The department has periodically organises academic events like seminars, fests & symposiums to enhance the potentialities of young & upcoming future managers. In recent past the department has experienced success rate of bright student’s(alumni’s)those who get absorbed by different organisations like Google’s, British Petroleum, TATA Refectories Limited (TRL), HDFC Bank, AXIS Bank, Accenture, Chola Mandalam Finance, BYJU’S and so on.

The glory of the department do exists with long experienced & hard working faculty members. The department is having its own library setup apart from the massive upgraded central (college) library available with both physical scripts & e- book(s) facilities to provide ample opportunities and basic learning support to voracious readers. Most reputed national & international journals are also available for academic equivalence & excellence of the students to do research in management domain. Frequent case study discussions on almost every subjects that to equip practical ideas of students on industries and enterprise workings.

The department is also conducting industrial tours & visits for students to provide them practical outlook of it and its normal workings. Questionnaires are being taken into discussion that how a manager can handle the job when most of the time organisation resources were in crisis. Students are imparting their basic knowledge to handle organisation works through classroom discussions, explanation of different organisational situations through live case studies. The department goes with an ideology that every student are having their own specialty and hidden talent which is in an unexplored state to be explored to increase their individual confidence level so that they can handle well any situation easily with their managerial set of mind and views. Never say defeated in front of any challenges in life while showing their highest competency level at work. Again it’s a holistic and modest attempt of the department. The syllabus also comply with imparting through information’s on the subject management & practices divided into six semesters when the range of subjects are Accounting, cost management, finance, statistics, economics, Business law, quantitative techniques, taxation & tax planning, Human resources, Marketing Management, Production& operation management, business policy & strategic management etc. Here the magnitude of the prescribed subjects is easily can provide a business management student a clear ideas& understanding for becoming an effective and scrupulous future manager during the three years study at +3 (BBA) level.

The department is giving its prime emphasis on personality building of BBA students to make them a successful leader and organizational team guider in long run.

To conclude with the modest attempt of the department since its inception phase i.e. 2009 onwards to impart quality management education and to produce dynamic organisation managers.
